Bio
I retired from teaching college economics after 34 years, in Utah, Colorado, North Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota. I spent the last 20 years in Northfield, MN, at St. Olaf and Carleton Colleges. Over the last 20 years of teaching, I also spent my summers working with a white water rafting outfitter in Salmon, Idaho. My wife joined me for the last 10 years that I worked in Idaho. We moved to our lake home near Nashwauk, MN, in 2023, after we both retired from teaching and white water rafting. In addition to our many projects at the lake, we are both substitute teaching for K-12 at public schools in Hibbing, Chisholm, and Mountain Iron. So far, 1st and 2nd grades are my favorite! As I get older, I try to (1) keep moving, (2) try new things, and (3) hang around young people. Public school subbing does all of that!
